Food and drink festival weekend

THERE is just over one month to go before the Wirral Food and Drink Festival.

Restaurants, cafes and bars around Wirral are holding events in the run up to the festival which will take place over the August bank holiday weekend.

Tickets are now on sale for the People’s Choice Cheese Awards, which is being held at Thornton Hall Hotel on August 14.

On the evening people can sample and vote for the finest cheeses in the region and have the chance to learn about matching them with different kinds of wine.

A ‘Wacky Rhubarb Race’ will also take place on July 27, at the Port Sunlight Village Festival.
