TWO men have been charged after an armed robbery at a Wirral convenience store.

At around 9.50pm on Sunday, April 21, two men reportedly entered PSV Food and Wine on Derby Road in Tranmere and stole cash, cigarettes and alcohol.

Following enquiries, two men were arrested.
 
Mark Gardener, 29, of Whetstone Lane, has been charged with robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.

Kurtis Lamptey, 22, of Whetstone Lane, has been charged with robbery.
 
Both men were remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court today, Tuesday, April 23.
