A SOFT play centre for dogs has opened in Wirral.
Dogs Go, based in Birkenhead, have launched a new soft play centre especially for dogs where owners can enjoy a coffee and a chat whilst their pets play, exercise and socialise, under the supervision of qualified staff.
The 6,000 sq. ft centre, on Champions Business Park already offers dog day care, training, birthday parties, a ‘puppachino’ bar, meet ups and prosecco nights.
The new indoor play area, which opened on Saturday, March 23, offers everything a regular children’s soft play centre would including slides, climbing frames and steps, a ball pit as well as an off-the-lead play area.
Owner of Dogs Go, Sarah Ashworth, told the Globe: “Our goal has always been to offer the very best for our dogs and their owners, through well ran, member-only dog parks, both indoor and outdoor.
“Most dogs are highly social animals and like children, enjoy jumping, exploring, running – soft play is the perfect solution.
“We have modified our soft play to be safe for little paws and it has been a huge hit.
“Owners benefit from our services just as much as the dogs do.
“We have a really strong community of dog owners who appreciate the safe, friendly and welcoming environment that we create.
“We are very approachable and friendly and always happy to offer advice. Soft play is just another way we can improve everyone’s experience.”
Dogs Go currently has two locations in Wirral with plans to open two additional sites later in the year.
Its award-winning members-only dog park based in Raby opened in 2017 and hosts member only dog social events on evenings and weekends and special themed events each month, where dogs must meet strict membership criteria and owners abide by rules to keep everyone safe.
Sarah added: “We regularly get feedback about how dogs and their owners lives has changed since they became involved with us, be it through dog training, events or day care.
“We even have four huge six acre private dog parks with purpose built lakes, play equipment and toys for owners of reactive dogs, banned breeds or dogs with poor recall to enjoy – there really is something for everyone.
“We have nearly 15,000 local dogs and owners registered with us and that number isn’t slowing down. We are hosting around three dog birthday parties each weekend and these seem to be getting more and more popular.
“Our next events are our Cockapoo, Golden Retriever and Dachshund Easter parties over the weekend. We typically get around 50 of the same breed attending and it is really quite incredible to be a part of to see so many similar dogs together– we usually do a massive game of pass the parcel too.”
