Inquest opens into motorbike fatality

AN inquest into the death of a teenage motorcyclist who died from multiple injuries following a collision in Oxton has been opened and adjourned.
Phillip James Wilson, aged 17, from Barnard Road, Oxton, died in Arrowe Park Hospital's accident and emergency department on the morning of Saturday May 3, after being thrown from his motorbike when it collided with a cab in Townfield Lane, Oxton, the previous evening.
A police investigation is underway to establish how the incident occured and a provisional date of August 7 has been set for the inquest to resume.
