INSPECTOR Paul Vickers is the new Neighbourhood Inspector at Hoylake police station.

He will have responsibility for policing issues within the Meols, Hoylake, West Kirby and Thurstaston wards.

Inspector Vickers has worked in the Wirral area since March of 2001 in a variety of neighbourhood and patrol roles, most recently as a Critical Incident Manager providing cover for all major incidents and, in co-ordination with the dedicated neighbourhood inspectors, managing area resources to deal with all calls for service.

He began his new role as Neighbourhood Inspector in mid April and says he looks forward to the new challenges it will bring.

"I am delighted to be working in the Hoylake neighbourhood, building on the successes Inspector Lambert achieved in pushing forward neighbourhood policing," he said.

"I am looking forward to working with our partners, local people and the business community, to understand and address the issues important to the local community and help make a real difference within the neighbourhood."
