INVESTIGATIONS are now underway after racist graffiti was discovered on walls at locations across the borough.
Walls at the back of the Woodchurch Leisure Centre and a childrens' play area on Duck Pond Lane behind Sainsburys in Woodchurch Road, Prenton were covered in the slogans which are too offensive to print, last weekend.
Officers are now viewing CCTV footage from the areas in a bid to identify those responsible and are appealing to customers of the Woodchurch Leisure Centre and Sainsbury's with any information to come forward.
Chief Superintendent Colin Matthews, said: "We constantly monitor incidents of this nature and we will take action when we find those responsible. There is no place in society for people like this and detectives are actively investigating the matter.
"I would like to take this opportunity to appeal to local people to come forward with information and contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
