Tommy Walker wins latest Flyer
ANOTHER player came through to take the winning spot in the last of the normal Sunday Flyers.
Sacred Heart's Tommy Walker put himself well up the points leader board by beating Gerry Riley in the final.
Walker had his hardest game in the quarter-final, scraping through against Tony Cavanagh 21-19 and he then went on to beat John Roberts in the semi-final.
Meanwhile, Gerry Riley had beaten Colin Mounsey in the quarter-finals and then Fred Arnell in the semi-final.
Walker won the Final 21-16.
RESULTS:
Quarter-Finals:
F. Arnell 21, P. Smith 16; G. Riley 21, C. Mounsey 14; T. Walker 21, T. Cavanagh 19; J. Roberts 21, C. Barton 12.
Semi-Final:
Riley 21, Arnell 15; Walker 21, Roberts 12.
Final:
Walker 21, Riley 16.
This Sunday (March 30) sees the last of this season's Sunday Flyers - a play-off for the top 16 players in the points table.
